Bespoke Geosynthetics

With the variety of geotextiles that are on offer in today’s construction market it is quite easy to select a product direct off the shelf for your project. However does your chosen grade of geotextile product actually fulfil the engineering requirements needed in your application?

Bespoke Geosynthetic Manufacture (BGM) is a new approach to geosynthetic manufacture in as much that it is a system that tries to match up a unique geosynthetic solution to a particular engineering problem. This is achieved using the customer’s extensive knowledge of the problems together with our 30 plus years of geotextile experience. This experience covers geosynthetic manufacturing, geotextile property testing, product installation and laminating technology.

Bespoke Geosynthetic Solutions  

Using BGM we have the opportunity to develop a bespoke geosynthetic solution that may be significantly closer to solving your identified parameters and offer a more sustainable solution to that of a standard product.

Working in conjunction with the majority of geotextile manufacturers across Europe we are able to gain access to a large variety of geosynthetic products, their technical information and full design support. This in turn provides us with a unique facility to create bespoke solutions working direct with the project clients to solve their problematic construction problems of filtration, drainage, separation, protection, reinforcement or containment. With bespoke manufacture it is possible to address a combination of geosynthetic performance functions and provide a solution that is effective and tailored to the existing project.

A bespoke range of protection, and protection with drainage layer geosynthetics. Typical uses are for landfill and contaminated land applications. They comprise a mechanically bonded needle punched geotextile with a drainage or other geotextile layer thermally bonded to it to give specific hydraulic and mechanical properties to suit ground conditions on a given site.

So far 19 bespoke products have been created in the range and we will be happy to discuss your particular requirement.

A thermally bonded geotextile with a metallic strip inserted to make this detectable by ground penetrating radar. Used extensively in rail applications to check ballast depth, this has also found a use wherever a marker layer needs to be
seen without digging, such as archaeological sites, or areas of contaminated land.

It is available as standard in rolls 4m wide, 50 metres long and 0.5m wide, 200 metres long. This product is subject to a minimum order quantity.
