At Ecobuild 2008 on 26–28 February, exhibitor Burdens Environmental will be reinforcing its commitment to sustainability and the environment by sponsoring Green Shoots at Ecobuild, a new initiative for the 2008 event, dedicated to promoting innovative products from small and emerging businesses.
Burdens Environmental has a simple strategy - to make sustainable technologies easier for companies to sell as well as making them easier to purchase by showcasing not only single products but by promoting the benefits that can be achieved by combining products into systems. Burdens Environmental is a one-stop-shop for environmentally friendly products and services.
Green Shoots, which is designed to encourage the freshest thinking and to create a focus for the most innovative ‘green’ construction products, is an ideal association for Burdens Environmental which, through its nationwide network, is uniquely positioned to encourage, assist and work with forward-thinking entrepreneurs.
‘A year on from the launch of the company at Ecobuild 2007, we’re delighted to be able to support such a worthwhile initiative from the organisers of the event. More than 20 experts - many of whom have developed the products themselves – will be participating in what will be a terrific showcase of organisations and individuals at the vanguard of developing sustainable construction products.’
This isn’t the only example of Burdens Environmental supporting green issues. This concentration on green issues was underlined earlier this year with a one-day seminar and exhibition - Delivering Sustainable Construction – the first event of its kind by Burdens Environmental – held at Bristol Zoo Gardens on 18 September. The seminar was designed to inform industry professionals with up-to-date techniques in sustainable construction methods for the whole life-cycle of the built environment, from energy-efficient products and new heating/ventilation solutions to waste management and building maintenance.
Benefiting from all these activities is Burdens Charitable Foundation, which has a 40% share holding in the company ensuring a significant percentage of profits are channelled back into the community.
