Homes for the future - From Good Homes to Eco-towns

GHA Event News:

Bookings are now open for our FINAL event of 2007:

“Homes for the Future: From Good Homes to Eco-Towns”,
December 5th 2007 (14.00-17.30) The Window, 13 Windsor Street, London N1 8QG

To be followed by the GHA Christmas Party!
(18.00-21.00) The Window, London

This is the 4th event in the GHA learning series, and will focus on landowner, development and planning requirements, in the light of new government legislation.

Visitors will hear from representatives of English Partnerships, the DCLG, Private Developers, the Town and Country Planning Association (TCPA), and Local Authorities to gain an insight into the standards that landowners and planning authorities are or will be adopting. GHA Developer Members will also provide real life examples to add practical experience to the session.
There will be plenty of opportunities for discussion and debate.

• How will the policies laid out in the Housing Green Paper affect us?
• What is an Eco Town?
• What standards are EP, Local Authorities and Private Landlords demanding on their sites?

Please see http://www.goodhomes.org.uk/downloads/news/65.pdf for more details and to download the flier…
The event is FREE for GHA members, £100 (plus VAT) for non-members.

The GHA Christmas Party!
(18.00-21.00) The Window, London
All are invited to the evening event, where we’ll toast the first year of the Good Homes Alliance over delicious canapés and bubbles in this special venue.

At the party, we will specifically explore the question “What Makes Good Homes & Places?” through a series of short presentations and debate.
GHA Developer Members will be asked to provide real life examples about the broad social and community approaches they adopt on their schemes.
The floor will then be open to all Members and others to debate and discuss the “Good” side of the GHA!

The party is free to all, but please do let us know if you’d like to join us so that we have an idea of numbers.

Please get in touch on info@goodhomes.org.uk to book your place at either part of the event.
