NetRegs, the Government website providing environmental legislation guidance for small businesses in the UK, is launching a trial phone service for the construction industry in South East England.
Research by NetRegs has revealed that almost half of respondents in the construction industry would prefer to use a phone line when obtaining environmental information or guidance.
Almost a third of construction businesses questioned don't have access to the internet while at work.
Anyone with an environmental legislation query will be able to reach a team of experts by calling 0845 601 2233 anonymously.
The service is being trialled throughout the South East from January 14 to March 31 and aims to provide an alternative to the website for those who either don't have regular access to the internet or prefer communication by phone.
