Under floor central heating can be installed in suspended flooring in a number of ways. Pipe can be laid along the joists using double heat spreader plates or across joists on battens using single heat spreader plates. Alternatively, 'pipe only' systems, not using heat spreader plates, can be used where heat outputs are less critical, e.g. bedrooms.
