Burdens Environmental are a proud member of the Good Homes Alliance (GHA) and would like to draw your attention to their 2009 round up and plans for 2010. GHA members consist of building professionals, house builders and developers and other industry supporters such as Burdens Environmental. The aim of the GHA is to promote best practice in achieving sustainable construction projects, helping to breach the gap between aspirations and reality.

Durisol gets top marks for green school building

Durisol’s eco-friendly wall forming system is helping to cut the lifetime carbon footprint - and ensure superb sound insulation - of a new building at a Devon school built by construction company Morgan Ashurst. External and internal walls of a single-storey extension at Caen Community Primary School in the village of Braunton have been constructed using fully recyclable Durisol modular units - a cement-bonded building product manufactured from 80% recycled wood fibre.
