Carillion Business Services appoints Head of Sustainability
Carillion has appointed Pamela Zielinski as Head of Sustainability for its Business Services division. Pamela joins Carillion from Ethitas CSR Solutions, a consultancy providing corporate social responsibility (CSR) and sustainability solutions to private and public sector clients.
Pamela’s new role will see her drive Carillion Business Services’ sustainability objectives through the development and implementation of appropriate strategies to position the business as an industry leader and provider of choice.
She has over 15 years HR experience with HSBC, Scottish and Southern Energy and Diageo where she made the move to sustainability, then in 2005 she formed the consultancy business Ethitas CSR solutions. Key experience includes CSR and sustainability strategy development, programme planning and implementation, organisation development and change management, with particular expertise in sustainable supply chains.
While with Diageo, Pamela introduced their global ‘Corporate Citizenship for Suppliers’ programme where she developed global supplier standards, developed internal capability and implemented tools to support the embedding of ethical supply chain management for around 40,000 global suppliers across 180 countries.
As an independent consultant Pamela has worked on a wide variety of CSR and sustainability initiatives for private sector clients, including the design and delivery of workshops on supply chain programmes and broader sustainability issues, strategy development and programme planning, and the design of a global CSR award. In the public sector she has worked with the Scottish Parliament on their Responsible Purchasing Strategy.
