When Ecobuild finishes Joseph’s painting will be auctioned off to the highest bidder. Proceeds from the highest bid will gifted to underprivileged and disabled children in West Africa.
Joseph Gower is a twenty one year old student completing his 3rd year at the University of West of England studying a Fine Art degree course. Much of Joseph’s artwork is produced at Spike Island studios, a venue for the production and exhibition of creative artwork situated in the heart of Bristol. Along with commissions for Burdens Environmental, Joseph has also produced work for The Guardian Art Challenge.
Joseph’s inspiration is drawn mainly from the natural world and he enjoys exploring various means of representing his subjects.

The Burdens commission has particular relevance to his work, as Joseph
explains.
“Much of the nature that inspires me is potentially at risk from pollution and global warming. Fragile Earth paint is an effective step towards preserving the environment and the flora and fauna it contains. As we become increasingly aware of environmental issues, it is about time we realised that the paint we use to decorate our homes, or to create art, is often toxic to the natural environment."
"Versatile, eco-friendly products, like Fragile Earth Eco-Paints, are the way forward.”
