Mural Auctioned at Ecobuild using Eco-Paints

Burdens Environmental commissioned a student artist, Joseph Gower to paint a mural at this years Ecobuild. Ecobuild is the largest sustainable construction and design event in the construction calendar. Held over 3 days at Earls Court between 3rd – 5th March Ecobuild presented the prime location for an artist to create a mural using Fragile Earth Eco-Paints over the course of the event.

Sealed bids for the mural were received from numerous delegates. We are pleased to announce the winner as Gary Newman the Managing Director of Plant Fibre technology . Gary’s winning bid of £450 will be passed onto the Burdens Charitable Foundation . Proceeds will go towards continued funding in Africa in conjunction with projects to support disabled and orphaned children.

 About ‘The Artist’


Joseph Gower is a twenty one year old student, who is studying a fine art degree at the University of West of England.  Much of Joseph’s artwork is produced at Spike Island studios, a venue for the production and exhibition of creative artwork situated in the heart of Bristol. Along with commissions for Burdens Environmental, Joseph has also produced work for The Guardian Art Challenge.

The Fragile Earth Eco-Paints range was selected because of its natural properties. Made from natural clay Fragile Earth is safe to use, containing no VOC’s.
