Product Features RAUGEO Collect is available in both PE-Xa (cross-linked polyethylene) and PE 100. Pipe diameters vary from 20, 25, 32 and 40mm. Standard coil length is 100m, other lengths are available on request. What Is RAUGEO Collect? RAUGEO Collect is installed 1.5m deep in the ground and is used to extract energy in combination with a ground-source heat pump (GSHP). Horizontal collectors are often favoured to the lower installation costs but vertical probe installations offer higher performance. The pipe should be laid according to VDI 4640 guidelines. Application Domestic applications with a large space available. Benefits RAUGEO Collect PE-Xa offers the highest reliability due the improved thermal, physical and chemical properties over PE 100. PE-Xa is resistant to puncture loads and therefore can be installed with a sand bed, which is required for PE 100 installations. PE-Xa also has an improved bending radius compared to PE 100, allowing for tighter installations. The RAUGEO range covers all the accessories required such as manifolds, antifreezes and fittings. Environmental Performance RAUGEO Collect fulfills the criteria of the German ground-source standard VDI 4640 and should be sized according to this dual-language standard. Economic Advantages Installing a ground-source heat pump can save up to 75% of your heating costs and is becoming increasingly common in the UK. GSHPs offer a Coefficient of Performance of up to 4, which means that for every unit of electricity used, it will produce up to 4 units of energy.
