Hemp Batts - Loft/Wall Insulation

Burdens Environmental offer a range of hemp insulation. Ideal for loft or wall insulation, it has good thermal conductivity (0.040W/mK). The batts are also denser than many other insulation, leading to better sound insulation and the ability to layer it up nice and deep in your attic without the bottom layer crushing down and losing thermal performance. Hemp is also hygroscopic - absorbing moisture away from your walls and timber work in the winter and then losing it in the summer, keeping you cooler.

The material is fireproof to B2 equivalent, treated with Boron to resist mould, fungi, insects and rodents. It is so nice to use, you don't need gloves, a face mask or goggles as it is non-irritant to skin, eyes or your respiratory system.
